1/72 scale (20 mm) Russian BA-10 Heavy Armoured Car

Technical Data Card: BA-10 Armoured Car

The BA-10 (Broneavtomobil 10) heavy armoured car, produced from 1938 to 1941, was the most produced pre-1941 Soviet armoured car, with some 3,311 BA-10s and BA-10 variants built.  The BA-10 was a continuation of the BA series of armoured cars, featuring a new chassis and sloped armour which maximized the vehicle’s armour protection.  The BA-10 was built on the GAZ-AAA chassis, a six-wheeled Soviet truck chassis.

The STL files for the BA-10 Armoured Car were downloaded from MarkeBot’s Thingiverse; the STL files were created by m_bergman.  I used the Creality Ender Pro 3 to print these models.

I 3D printed two BA-10 Armoured Cars: One with tracked rear wheels and the other without.  I used Vallejo Military Green (975) as the primary colour for the armoured cars and applied decals to the sides of the vehicles.

Citizen Soldiers: A 1/72 scale World War 2 Model Site

Citizen Soldiers: A 1/72 scale World War 2 Model Site is devoted to the hobby of painting and collecting World War 2 models/miniatures.  It is my hope, through creating this website, to honour the men and women who served in the Second World War, whose sacrifices and courage have given us the freedom and quality of life we have today.
