Warhammer 40,000: Sons of Sek



Featured in Dan Abnett’s Gaunt’s Ghosts series, the Sons of Sek form the personal army of Anakwanar Sek, a powerful Chaos warlord and sorcerer. Referred to by his followers as ‘He whose voice drowns out all others’, Anakwanar Sek’s symbol is a hand covering the mouth. Out of reverence for their Dark Master, the Sons of Sek wear a tanned human hand as a mouth guard on their helmets.

Back in July, I build and painted six Sons of Sek warriors using the Cadian Shock Trooper, the Catachan Jungle Fighter and the Chaos Marauder sprues.  I have just finished painting four more Sons of Sek warriors, creating a full 10-man squad.  Included in this group of miniatures is a Sirdar (squad leader/junior officer), armed with a laspistol and chainsword. 




The below images show the Sons of Sek battling Urdeshi troopers on the Forge World of Urdesh, and are from the Sons of Sek section in the Old Guard:
