Abnett’s Gaunt’s Ghosts series, the Sons of Sek form the personal army of
Anakwanar Sek, a powerful Chaos warlord and sorcerer. Referred to by his
followers as ‘He whose voice drowns out all others’, Anakwanar Sek’s symbol is
a hand covering the mouth. Out of reverence for their Dark Master, the Sons of
Sek wear a tanned human hand as a mouth guard on their helmets.

Back
in July, I build and painted six Sons of Sek warriors using the Cadian Shock Trooper, the Catachan Jungle Fighter and the Chaos Marauder sprues. I have just finished painting four more Sons
of Sek warriors, creating a full 10-man squad.
Included in this group of miniatures is a Sirdar (squad leader/junior
officer), armed with a laspistol and chainsword.
The
below images show the Sons of Sek battling Urdeshi troopers on the Forge World
of Urdesh, and are from the Sons of Sek section in the Old Guard:
Old Guard: An Astra Militarum/Imperial Guard Fan Site is a website dedicated to
Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40K miniatures, with a focus on the classic range of
