I finished painting the second sprue of Pegasus Hobbies’ German Fallschirmjager set; a 1/72 scale (20mm) set of hard plastic miniatures (please see part 1 for more details). There are 20 miniatures per sprue, and included in each sprue are the following miniatures:
8x Fallschirmjager with Kar 98K rifles
5x Fallschirmjager with MP40 submachine guns
1x Fallschirmjager with an FG-42 assault rifle
3x Fallschirmjager with Panzerfausts
1x Fallschirmjager with a Panzerschreck
1x NCO/Officer with MP40 submachine gun
1x Fallschirmjager with a MG42 machine gun.

Since one of the paratroopers in armed with a Panzerschreck and three others with Panzerfausts (both weapons introduced in the later years of the war), the miniatures in this set represent Late War German Fallschirmjager (paratroopers). The miniatures are shown wearing the distinctive Fallschirmjager helmets and paratrooper smocks (jackets). As with the previous group of German Fallschirmjager, I used the Splittermuster pattern (splinter pattern) of camouflage for the helmets and paratrooper smocks. Whereas for the first group, I used Luftwaffe Grey for the pants, I used German ‘Green’ Uniform for the pants, as a way of making each miniature in this set unique.
