I finished building and painting three 1/72 scale (20mm) World War 2 period houses. The first house, the Country House with Porch, is produced by Italeri, while the other two, the Russian Log houses, are produced by Pegasus Hobbies.
Italeri produces 1/72 scale (20mm) Country House with Porch set, which allows you to build a two-storey battle damaged country house. This model is cast in hard plastic.

I painted the Country House in a similar colour pattern as the first Berlin House I completed. The primary colour I used was khaki (for the exposed bricks) and the secondary colours were red (for the roof) and white (for the sections of walls that remained).

Pegasus Hobbies produces a 1/72 scale Russian Log Houses set, which allows you to build two single-storey traditional Russian Log Houses. The houses are cast in hard plastic and are easy to assemble. Two different roofs are provided: a wood roof for one house and a straw roof for the other.

I used brown as the primary colour for the houses. Inks and drybrushing techniques were used to bring out the details (i.e. the wood grains) on the houses. Red was used for the chimneys as a contrast to the browns of the houses.
