Valhallan Ice Warriors (Astra Militarum): Part 5

Hailing from the frozen Ice World of Valhalla, Valhallan Ice Warriors are a hardy breed of men and women, renown for their stoicism and dedication to the God-Emperor. Known for their courage and stubbornness, Valhallan Ice Warrior have a reputation of never retreating or surrendering, even when faced with overwhelming odds.

I finished painting the second half of the Valhallan Ice Warriors squad (please see previous post for more details), which includes a sergeant armed with a hand-flamer and power sword, a mortar team and three guardsmen with lasguns.  Released in 1994, when Games Workshop made the transition from the generic Rogue Trader era guardsmen to world specific Imperial Guard regiments, the Valhallan Ice Warriors were sculpted by legendary GW sculptor Alan Perry and the mortar was sculpted by Norman Swales.
