World War 2 German Technical Data Cards

Using Adobe Photoshop, I created Technical Data Cards for the 1/72 scale German military models I built and painted for my upcoming World War 2 miniatures website (the working title for the site is ‘Citizen Soldiers: A 1/72 Scale World War 2 Model and Tribute Page’).  The Technical Data Cards take the form of index cards (such as those found in the libraries of the 1940s), providing Allied servicemen and women with a brief summary of the enemy asset shown on the card.  With the use of a typewriter style font and black and white photos of the models, my goal was to capture the look and feel of a World War 2 period report.

I am also planning to create similar Technical Data Cards for my 1/72 scale Allies models (United States, Soviet Union and Canada), which will be featured in future blog posts.
