Rangers are a sub-class of the fighter class and are specialists in wilderness survival. Rangers possess the ability to track creatures in wilderness and underground environments; as well, they gain bonuses to damaging goblinoids and giants. At higher levels, rangers can cast druid and magic-user spells.

A new iteration of the Labyrinth Lord Advanced Companion Ranger Character Generator Version 2 has launched, and is available on Adventurer’s Portal, a fan sited dedicated to Goblinoid Games’ Labyrinth Lord Advanced Companion role-playing game. The updated Ranger Character Generator includes more options for customizing the randomly generated character; these new features includes randomly generated character names, optional starting ages, and the use of drop-down menus to customize individual ability scores.
