Dungeon Crawl Classics Eastern Adventures Art: Part 3

Dungeon Crawl Classics Eastern Adventures

I have completed some more pencil-and-paper interior art pieces for the Dungeon Crawl Classics Eastern Adventures source book I am working on, designed to provides DCC Judges with resources and material for creating Eastern themed campaigns.  Included in this new batch of illustrations are two Supernatural Patron drawings (both for Raijin, the God of Thunder), two monster drawings (bakemono and kappa), and more weapon sketches.

Raijin (Supernatural Patron)

Raijin.  Based on the historical Japanese deity with the same name, Raijin is a neutral god of thunder and is the brother of Fujin, the Master of the Four Winds.  Raijin will be one of two Supernatural Patrons (the other is the Radioactive Dinosaur) featured in the source book.

Bakemono.  The Eastern equivalent of the goblin, bakemono are ugly demi-humans, standings 4 to 5’ tall and weighing 60 to 80 lbs.

Kappa.  A turtle-like humanoid, with an unusual bowl-like depression on the top of it’s head that retains water.

Exotic Weapons.  The new weapons added to weapons table are the kurarigama (sickle-and-chain), the nunchaku, the jutte, the tonfa, the sai, and the kama.
