Dungeon Crawl Classics Character Generators Part 2

In the previous post of this series, I showcased four pencil sketches of the Dungeon Crawl Classics (DCC) ‘human’ character classes that I will be using for the DCC character generator launch pages I am developing for the Fantastic Adventures & the Disgruntled Gong Farmer Companion Site.  Since that post, I have completed the sketches for the remaining three character classes: The Dwarf, the Elf and the Halfling.

The Dwarf: a skilled warrior of short stature.

The Elf: an arcane spell-caster and a fighter combined.

Dungeon Crawl Classics (DCC) uses the ‘race as class’ mechanic, characteristic of the Basic/Expert editions of the ‘World Most Famous Role-Playing Game’.  In DCC, dwarves, elves and halflings are their own classes.  However, DCC has creating some flavourful mechanics that makes playing these classes feel unique.  For instance, dwarves have an uncanny ability to ‘smell gold and gems’.  Elves have a vulnerability to iron and cannot wear iron armour or wield iron weapons.  Halflings have been dubbed ‘whirlwinds of death’ due to their talent for dual-weapon fighting.

The Halfling: The Party’s ‘good luck charm’.

Fantastic Adventures & the Disgruntled Gong Farmer is a DCC compatible adventure module I created for the community and is available for free (PDF version) on DriveThru RPG.
