DCC Lankhmar Thief Character Generator

Thieves are dexterous and stealthy, using speed, cunning and specialized skills to get the job done. Whereas a Warrior will face a foe head on in honourable melee combat, the Thief will use stealth and cunning to sneak up on a foe, striking their unsuspecting victim from behind. Thieves are a welcome addition to an adventuring party due to their unique, if somewhat questionable, skills and abilities they possess.

The second Dungeon Crawl Classics Lankhmar Character Generator, the Thief Character Generator, has launched and is available on Sorcery and Mighty Deeds, a website dedicated to the DCC Lankhmar role-playing system.  The Thief Generator randomly generates a Dungeon Crawl Classics Thief from levels 1 to 10 (the max level in DCC), and provides several options allowing for character customization.  The next DCC Lankhmar character generator I am planning to build is the Wizard Character Generator.

Sorcery and Might Deeds is a Dungeon Crawl Classics Lankhmar fan site, inspired by and created for the gaming community.  DCC Lankhmar is based on the Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser adventures, created by the legendary American writer Fritz Leiber, the father of the Sword and Sorcery genre.

DCC Lankhmar Warrior Character Generator

Warriors are fierce fighting-men and fighting-women, skilled in the use of all manner of weapons and armour. Renown in combat for their Mighty Deeds of Arms, Warriors serve as frontline combatants, protecting the more vulnerable party members from attacks. Warriors are a hardy lot of women and men, having great resilience to damage; they are capable of withstanding grievous injuries that would slay lesser folk.

I recently added the first of the Dungeon Crawl Classics Lankhmar Character Generators, the Warrior Character Generator, to Sorcery and Mighty Deeds; a fan site dedicated to Goodman Games’ DCC Lankhmar role-playing game.  The Lankhmar Warrior Generator builds on version 2 of the DCC Warrior Character Generator, which I released back in May of this year, by adding a new character sheet and additional functionality related to the DCC Lankhmar ruleset.  The next DCC Lankhmar character generator I am planning to release is the Thief Character Generator.

Dungeon Crawl Classics Lankhmar Character Sheets

Dungeon Crawl Classics Lankhmar, based on the Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser stories, has three core character classes: The Warrior, the Wizard, and the Thief.  I have created character sheets for each character class; these are available in PDF format on Sorcery and Mighty Deeds, a DCC Lankhmar fan site recently launched.  The character sheets will be used for the upcoming DCC Lankhmar character generators, which I am planning to release later this month.

In designing these character sheets, I drew inspiration from the hand-drawn fan created OSR styled character sheets found throughout the web.  I created these character sheets with Adobe Photoshop and a digital drawing tablet.  I felt this style captures the vibe of the early years of fantasy role-playing games.
