Dungeon & Dragon Miniatures: Board Game Miniatures Part 2

Board Game Miniatures

My previous post featured board game miniatures I painted for my Dungeon and Dragon games.  Since publishing this post, I painted some more board game miniatures.  As a Dungeon Master, I look for affordable, durable, and detailed miniatures to represent the characters, monsters, and NPCs on the tabletop. Many board games include high-quality 28/32 mm scale miniatures that fits this criteria.  eBay has become a valuable source for finding such miniatures.

The above two monsters are from the Cthulhu Wars board game and could be used to represent large-size aberrations and other horrors on the tabletop.

Flaming Skeleton: Original Base (40 mm)

Flaming Skeleton: Modified Base (25 mm)

Flaming Skeleton: Painted

The Flaming Skeletons are from the Fireteam Zero board game.  The miniatures originally came with a 40 mm base.  I replaced the original base with a smaller 25 mm base.  These miniatures could be used to represent Flame Skulls, Fire Mephits, ‘Burning’ markers, etc., on the tabletop.

Undead skeleton-spider hybrid and dwarf barbarian: Unpainted

The above miniatures are from the Age of Darkness board game.  I love the originality of these miniatures.  The human-spider skeleton hybrid could represent various fiends or undead horrors on the tabletop; the dwarven barbarian wearing the kilt is a classic.

Dual-wielding Rogue: Unpainted

I am not sure which board game the above miniatures are from.  The dynamic styling of the flowing cape, and dual-wielding short swords makes these miniatures ideal for Spies, Assassins, and other such rogue-type builds on the tabletop.

Zombicide Male Ghosts: Unpainted

CMON has a massive range of high-quality miniatures for their Zombicide line of board games.  The above miniatures are from the Zombicide range and could represent various incorporeal undead on the tabletop.
