Thieves are dexterous and stealthy, using speed, cunning and specialized skills to get the job done. Whereas a Warrior will face a foe head on in honourable melee combat, the Thief will use stealth and cunning to sneak up on a foe, striking their unsuspecting victim from behind. Thieves are a welcome addition to an adventuring party due to their unique, if somewhat questionable, skills and abilities they possess.

The Dungeon Crawl Classics (DCC) Empire of the East Thief Character Generator has launched and is available on The Empire and the Elephant, a DCC Empire of the East fan site. The Thief Character Generator provides options for customizing the randomly generated character, which includes the ability to generate above average ability scores with alternative die rolling methods (i.e., roll 5d6, and keep the three highest).

The Empire and the Elephant. The Empire and the Elephant is an RPG fan site dedicated to Goodman Games’ Dungeon Crawl Classics Empire of the East adventure supplement and is designed to provide Judges and Players with resources for their DCC campaigns. The Empire of the East is a series of pulp sword and sorcery novels written by Fred Saberhagen, set in a post-apocalypse world where magic and demons exist. Mr. Saberhagen’s Empire of the East is listed in Appendix N as one of the sources of inspiration that inspired the creation of the World’s Most Famous role-playing game.
