Classic Old School Revival Characters: Digital Art

 

 

 

 

I completed new digital illustrations in Adobe Photoshop using a digital pen and drawing tablet.  The illustrations represent four classic Old School Revival Characters: The Cleric, the Magic-User, the Dwarf, and the Halfling.  The illustrations are designed for my hobby OSR role-playing websites; I have also added these to my Adobe portfolio profile.  Next, I am planning to create illustrations for the Fighter, Thief, and Elf character classes.mark

Mutant Crawl Classics Plantient Character Generator Version 4

 

 

 

Plantients are sentient plants that inhabit the world of Terra A.D. Like pure strain humans, plantients walk upright and have prehensile appendages that allows them to manipulate and use complex tools. Plantients also manifest physical mutations like their mutant and Plantient counterparts. As well, plantients possess several unique traits specific to their class: plantients can recover spent luck points at twice the rate of normal humans due to their ability to excrete fragrance pheromones; they have natural thorn or spine attacks; and have the potential of being unseen in environments where plant life is abundant.

The newest iteration (version 4) of the Mutant Crawl Classics Plantient Character Generator has launched and is available on Pathways to the Ancient Ones; a website dedicated to Jim Wampler’s Mutant Crawl Classics role-playing game.  The new Plantient Character Generator builds on the previous iteration (version 3) by adding additional functionality, which includes a new random name generator and the option for customizing ability scores.

Manimals are descended from the various species of animals, reptiles and insects that once inhabited the natural world before the Great Disaster. Unlike their distant, pre-Terra A.D., cousins, manimals walk upright, talk, and possess prehensile appendages that allows them to manipulate and use complex tools. Manimal also possess physical and mental mutations: each mutation has the potential of granting the manimal with extraordinary powers or raising their ability scores beyond the limits of ordinary men and women.
